A lucky couple in the USA found their forgotten lottery ticket while cleaning their house.
Harold and Tina Ehrenberg found the $1.8m (£1.4m) jackpot-winning ticket during the usual holiday cleaning of their house.

Lucky the couple, the winning ticket was due to expire in two weeks time. The ticket was bought for the 6 June 2018 draw which according to the Louisiana Lottery terms and conditions had to be claimed within six months of the draw announcement.
“We have family coming into town for Thanksgiving, so I was cleaning up the house and found a few lottery tickets on my nightstand that we hadn’t checked,” Tina said, according to a statement by Louisiana Lottery.
Harold and Tina Ehrenberg were tidying their house before their relative’s arrival. They literarily cleaned up one of the several unchecked lottery tickets found during the cleaning.

“I thought something must have been wrong,” said Harold.
The couple had bought several lottery tickets over the time and never bothered to check them but cleaning for the Thanksgiving day pushed them to check those unchecked forgotten tickets.

The couple is planning to spend their winning on retirement.
